The band Savoir Faire was the brain child of vocalist Jerry Lloyd and his musical partner, guitarist/vocalist Richard Owen. The two were 2/3 of the premier acoustic band in Southern California “Storyteller” which has performed for the past 6 years at city concerts, casino’s and upper echelon venues, especially in Riverside County. At some point, the idea came about to expand the music and members of the band. The duo decided to look for exceptional musicians and singers to form a powerful “Yacht Rock” group, a soft rock music style that originated in Southern California in the 1970s.
During the recruitment process, Steve Moreno (guitar and vocals), Ben Rushing (drums and vocals), Rudy Lopez (bass and vocals), and Elijah Carrillo (keyboards and vocals), were hand-picked by Jerry Lloyd, the band leader. The group is fueled by song selection, superior musicianship and soaring vocals with harmonies. For the best in 70’s and 80’s rock there is only one group that fits the bill above all others.
